1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ilymi platform ("ilymi"), operated by Koma Michi. They form a legally binding agreement between you and ilymi. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use ilymi. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or older, and that the information you provide is accurate and current.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that happens under your account.
- You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
- You may not share your account with another person, or use another person's account.
- We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are used for abuse, fraud or unlawful activity.
4. Subscriptions and payments
ilymi offers a free tier and paid Premium plans. The current plans and prices are described on our pricing page. When paid plans become available:
- Payment for Premium is due in advance of the subscription period.
- Prices are in Nigerian Naira (NGN) unless stated otherwise, and may change with notice.
- Unused subscription periods are generally non-refundable, except as required by law or as set out in our refund policy.
- You are responsible for any taxes payable on your subscription.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use ilymi in any way that breaches any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to access, scrape or interfere with the platform, its servers or the accounts of other users.
- Upload, transmit or distribute malicious code, or attempt to disrupt the service.
- Copy, redistribute or resell ilymi content or questions for commercial purposes without our written permission.
- Share your study cohort answers, quiz dumps or purchased content in a way that undermines the integrity of the product.
6. Intellectual property
ilymi, including its software, design, questions, explanations, illustrations and branding, is owned by or licensed to Koma Michi and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for your own practice data and submitted content, nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title or interest in ilymi's intellectual property.
7. Relationship with ICAN
ilymi is an independent study platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). The ICAN syllabus and exam formats are the property of their respective owners. Any completion certificates or badges issued by ilymi recognise completion of ilymi courses only, and do not constitute ICAN certification.
8. Disclaimers
ilymi is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. While we work hard to keep content syllabus-accurate, we do not warrant that ilymi will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content guarantees exam success. Your results depend on your own preparation.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Koma Michi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of ilymi. Our total liability in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using ilymi at any time and delete your account by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability — will survive.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page, and where significant, we will notify registered users by email. Continued use of ilymi after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
